Donna Schumacher


Donna Schumacher, founder and owner of Hair Techniques hair salon, brings her 30+ years of hair care, hair styling, and customer service experience to operating the Hair Techniques Salon at the highest level of professionalism. Donna continually pleases her wide range of repeat clients – from small children to wise seniors – male and female alike. Hence, her appointment book fills up quickly with “regulars” seeking their appointment preferences.


Hailing from the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Donna always knew she wanted to become a hair stylist. After graduating from the American School for Beauty Culture, Donna spent ten years building a clientele in the Chicago area.


Relocating with her husband to San Francisco in 1987, Donna passed the California State Boards for Cosmetology, and began building a clientele in her new home state. Upon moving to the beautiful coastal town of Pacifica, CA she answered the “call” to open “Hair Techniques by Donna Schumacher” in 1995 and for the first year, worked as the sole hairstylist.


Donna’s depth of experience includes:

  1. • 1st place as a student in the Illinois state competition and 10th nationwide

  2. • 10 years hair styling in the Chicago area

  3. • Work for Paul Mitchell and Matrix hair color at Midwest beauty shows and educational classes

  4. • Certified educator for the BIOSILK line of products

  5. • California hair stylist for 20+ years and business owner for over 15 years


Donna’s passion for hair remains the same today as the day she started.  Whether haircut, perm, color, or highlight, each client provides a special and unique opportunity. Donna welcomes the opportunity to be of service to you.

Christina Clyne


Now approaching six years at Hair Techniques, Christina specializes in helping clients look their very best for the special occasions in their lives. Her talents ensure that each of her special occasion clients receives just the right “up-do” or styling along with the perfect make-up for proms, weddings, and other types of formal affairs.


Always ready with a smile and a genuine interest in the client in her chair, Christina has a natural talent for understanding how her passion for her craft – whether it’s hair cutting, hair coloring, highlights or perms, will help you look your best.


Christina is living her dream “doing hair” as a professional hair stylist. From an early age, she knew this was her calling. A Pacifica native, she grew up baby sitting in Pacifica  -- playing dress-up with the little girls under her care and doing their hair and make-up.


A 2006 graduate of Skyline Cosmetology School, Christina is also a graduate of Terra Nova High School in Pacifica and has lived in Pacifica all her life. Christina is very thankful to Donna Schumacher, owner of the hair salon, for taking her under her wing and helping Christina realize her dream of becoming a great hair stylist.

Natalie DuChateau


Eager to begin her career as a hair stylist and well-trained as an October 2009 graduate of the College of San Mateo Cosmetology program, Natalie joins the salon excited to bring her talents on board.


Natalie has wanted to be a hair stylist and make-up artist ever since she was in middle school and began to understand how hair and make-up is often transformational for a person -- increasing their confidence in themselves. She loves when she can inspire her clients in this way to feel and look their best. Her passion for her work in this field is fueled by this sense of empowering others with self-confidence.


Very driven to succeed, Natalie maintains a keen interest in learning new techniques to continually improve her hair styling skills.


In addition to working in the salon Natalie is continuing her collegiate studies at CSM and in her spare time pursues her interest in painting, using acrylics and watercolors to create scenes from nature and abstract design.

Randa Barboza


New to the local area and new to the salon, Randa moved up the coast of California late last year from Santa Cruz. As a 2009 graduate from the Shoreline Cosmetology School in Santa Cruz she is thrilled to now put into practice her cosmetology training and enthusiasm as a professional stylist here at Hair Techniques.


A talented hair colorist, Randa most enjoys working with her clients to find the perfect color to compliment their haircut, skin tone, and hairstyle.


She attributes growing up in Lakeport (northern California), surrounded by its natural beauty -- its vibrant autumn colors, wineries and vineyards -- as inspiration for her passion for hair and in hair color in particular. (Although Randa’s parents tell her she always said she wanted to be a cosmetologist even before she could pronounce the word.)


Prior to studying cosmetology Randa lived in Iceland working as an Aupair where she also studied Icelandic culture and language. Randa also studied culinary arts, photography, and visual arts at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz.
